I was leaving the theme for this one up in the air because we didn’t know what the election would hold. Turns out we knew the results… So, the session became about three things: 1) creating peace, calm, and healing, 2) letting out some anger and frustration, and 3) trying to fill our reserves for future good works and love. I hope this helps you. It helped me.
Ambient, Indie, Metal, Punk, Techno, Open Format
Expect percussion-driven tech house, with world music flavors. Afro House, Latin House, Iberican, Brazilian, Indian, etc. — I know this genre can be problematic: overdone, cheesy, and is, at it’s worst, cultural appropriation… So, I hope to honor these musics, their unique and dynamic rhythmic structures, and sacred sounds through tasteful selections and rock-solid mixing, respectfully joining East and West.
Last mix before 3 weeks in Thailand (HONEYMOON!)! It’s a pretty short mix but with some nice, deep and energetic vibes. I may expand this series, the next mix could be two doses (around 1.5 hours), then three doses (2.25 hours), and so on. We shall see! Enjoy and check out the track list on Mixcloud.
